Practice Profile
Since joining Chambers Anastasia has developed a wide ranging common law practice and is regularly instructed in personal injury, clinical negligence and property damage cases. She has been instructed as junior counsel in a number of high value personal injury and clinical negligence claims, and has also been involved in a substantial case at the General Medical Council. Areas of personal injury expertise include: accidents and assaults at work, vicarious liability for assault by employees, road traffic cases, claims involving the MIB, highway cases, occupiers’ liability, package travel cases and CRU appeals. Areas of clinical expertise include: Orthopaedics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Oncology and negligence resulting in brain damage in infants and adults. Areas of property damage expertise include: damage to homes, and theft of personal and company property.
Anastasia has developed a wide ranging clinical negligence practice and regularly gives seminars in this area. Areas of clinical expertise include Orthopaedics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Oncology. Anastasia has been instructed as junior counsel in a number of high value clinical negligence claims and was involved in a substantial case at the GMC with Andrew Collender QC.
Anastasia has acted for insurers in claims made by and against insurers, and in particular in relation to allegations of breach of contract and recovery under the Road Traffic Act 1988. Further, her expertise has been sought regarding claims in conversion against purchasers of stolen goods with an emphasis on the maximisation of recovery by insurers.
Anastasia is regularly instructed in personal injury claims, and has been instructed as junior counsel in a number of high value claims. The areas of Anastasia’s personal injury expertise include accidents and assaults at work, vicarious liability for assault by employees, road traffic cases, claims involving the MIB, highway cases, occupiers’ liability, package travel cases and CRU appeals.
Anastasia’s professional negligence experience includes claims relating to solicitors, barristers, accountants, engineers and surveyors.
Anastasia’s expertise includes damage to homes, and theft of personal and company property.
