Practice Profile
Elizabeth has a successful and wide ranging common law practice and is an experienced advocate in the civil courts. She has particular expertise and interest in:
- personal injury and clinical negligence claims involving physical and psychological injury at all levels;
- employers’ and occupiers’ liability;
- slips and trips;
- road traffic accidents;
- the Animals Act 1971, particularly in respect of equestrian matters;
- professional negligence, particularly solicitors, surveyors and construction professionals;
- a wide range of contractual disputes.
Elizabeth enjoys representing both claimants and defendants in Fast and Multi Track cases with an excellent success rate at trial and in interlocutory matters. She also has an extensive and wide ranging paper practice including advisory work and pleadings. She is known for her keen eye for detail, attentive case preparation and prompt turnaround of papers.
Elizabeth is regularly instructed by the Treasury Solicitor’s personal injury team and in respect of the current bank charges, credit hire and ATE insurance litigation.
She is successful in Multi Track trials against opposing counsel many years her senior, and has excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with lay clients and experts both in conference and at court. She has experience of handling a large number of witnesses at trial, litigants in person, inquests (jury) and cases involving fatalities, and working with translators in court.

Seminars and Articles
Elizabeth has given several well-received internal and national seminars covering topics such as employers’ liability regulations, the new Ogden tables and the Animals Act 1971 and has contributed to the PI Brief Update Law Journal and 2tg’s personal injury journal, Injury Times, and professional negligence journal, On Duty. She is also a member of, and regularly attends seminars and courses given by the Personal Injury and Professional Negligence Bar Associations.
