Andrew and Robert will focus on recent developments in the field of parent company liability: when can a parent company be sued for the torts of its subsidiary? They will also consider accessory liability: when can an individual or a company be sued on the basis that it assisted another to commit a tort?

Luka Krsljanin
The civil Liability Bill: the times they are a’changing
The Civil Liability Bill was announced on 20 March 2018, with draft provisions that promise to bring wholesale changes to the valuation of all personal injury claims. The Bill also targets whiplash claims, with Justice Secretary David Gauke pledging that it will ensure that “money can be put back in the pockets of millions of law-abiding motorists”.
Luka Krsljanin will give a guide to the Bill, and its consequences for claims. In particular, he will address the practical issues to bear in mind when preparing and presenting a claim, in light of these changes.

Registration is from 1.45pm and the seminar will commence promptly at 2pm.

A drinks reception will follow at 5.00pm.

This is a free event and will be accredited with 3 CPD hours.
