In this seminar Joseph Sullivan and George Hilton will explore developments in the law of limitation and relief from sanctions in the context of professional indemnity claims.

Joseph has extensive experience of advising on and litigating limitation disputes in professional negligence claims, both at the interlocutory stage and at trial. He will discuss problem areas in limitation defences faced by PI practitioners, focusing on issues surrounding identification of the date of loss and the court’s approach to resolving the date of knowledge under s14A of the Act. He will also examine the tactical issues which crop up when dealing with limitation.

George has experience of advising on and litigating professional negligence claims in relation to a wide range of professions. He will be providing an update, including recent case law developments, in relation to relief from a range of statutory and court imposed sanctions as well as non party costs orders against legal professionals.

We would be delighted if you could join us. We will start promptly at 6.00pm. The seminar will last about 1 hour and will be followed by drinks and canapés.

This is a free event which qualifies for 1.5 CPD hours.

If you wish to attend this event please respond to Deborah Francis at seminars@2tg.co.uk.
