Private International Law
Members of the 2 Temple Gardens Private International Law group are ideally placed to provide advice and representation in complex cross-border disputes. Chambers and Partners notes that 2TG “stands out for its knowledge of private international law” and has described chambers as having “unrivalled expertise at all levels”.
2TG regularly appears in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal in matters raising complex questions of private international law. Our members have been involved in a number of recent leading cases, including successfully resisting proceedings to enforce a judgment by the Prime Minister of Malta, jurisdictional disputes between insurance companies arising out of claims for contribution and issues of applicable law and jurisdiction relating to a number of actions proceeding under group litigation orders.
We are able to provide specialist advice across a wide range of cases in which issues of foreign law or jurisdiction arise, including commercial, insurance and product liability disputes.
We work in a number of languages, including French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Swedish.
