2TG is delighted to welcome Professor Richard Fentiman KC hc, as a door tenant with immediate effect. Richard is Professor in Private International Law at the University of Cambridge where he was formerly Chair of the Law Faculty. He has been involved in high profile cases for many years; he continues to be available as an academic consultant.

Richard Fentiman’s research is concerned with all aspects of private international law in relation to civil litigation, with particular reference to commercial disputes and issues concerning jurisdiction, cross-border injunctions, the proof of foreign law, and the analysis of legal risk. He is internationally acknowledged as a leading scholar in his field. His work, which emphasises the law’s practical context, is frequently cited in the courts of England and Wales and other jurisdictions.

Richard commented “Given my interests and the nature of chambers’ work, an association with 2TG is particularly appropriate. From my perspective it is especially attractive that Chambers undertakes such a wide range of cross-border work, and that the set is at the forefront of practice in the field.”

Head of Chambers, Martin Porter KC, commented: “We are very pleased to welcome Richard Fentiman KC to 2TG as a door tenant. His unrivalled learning and pre-eminence in the field of private international law is an excellent match for our market leading practice in this area.”
