The claim arose from the tragic death of the renowned International Lawyer Professor Sir Ian Brownlie in a road traffic accident in Egypt.

Lead barristers Howard Palmer QC and Marie Louise Kinsler QC representing the Defendant in the appeal before the Court of Appeal which gave important guidance on the circumstances in which a Claimant may bring personal injury and Fatal Accident Act claims in respect of injuries and deaths sustained abroad.
