Neil Moody KC and Tim Killen will look at liability for flooding and review the remedies available to those suffering recent flood damage. The seminar will cover:

  • Nuisance and Rylands v Fletcher
  • Liability of public authorities
  • Liability of sewerage undertakers
  • Flood Insurance and Flood Re

Richard Allitt will consider the role of the expert in flood claims and explain how computer modelling can assist the Court in establishing causation.

Richard Allitt BSc FICE CEng CEnv is a leading consulting engineer specialising in hydraulic assessment of flood risks. He has prepared expert evidence in many flooding cases.
