The law of vicarious liability has been in flux. Recent case law has seemingly expanded vicarious liability’s scope to make businesses the insurers of both their employees and, sometimes, those that provide them with services. The Supreme Court has handed down two incredibly important judgments, Barclays Bank plc v Various Claimants  UKSC 13 and WM Morrison Supermarkets v Various Claimants  UKSC 12, which make for essential analysis in litigation.
