We appear in international courts and arbitral tribunals all over the world, frequently acting on complex multi-jurisdictional disputes. We are particularly well-known for managing cross border litigation on matters of jurisdiction and applicable law and appear regularly in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

Finn accepts instructions across all areas of Chambers’ expertise. He acts in a range of legal disputes, with highlights in insurance, commercial, employment, personal injury, and private international law.
Finn successfully completed his pupillage in September 2025 after having been supervised by Alistair Mackenzie, Meghann McTague and Helen Wolstenholme.
He has a busy court practice acting as sole counsel in a range of matters in the County Court but also welcomes instructions as junior counsel and is well-experienced in working as part of large legal teams. He is currently instructed on behalf of Claimants in the Pan-NOx Emissions Group Litigation: the largest group action in English legal history.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Finn was a research assistant to a Professor at the University of Cambridge, editing a student contract law textbook and contributing to a leading practitioners’ text. Finn also contributed to a project funded by the Employment Lawyers’ Association relating to the enforcement of employment disputes.
Finn has experience in dealing with a range of matters arising out of insurance disputes.
He regularly appears as sole counsel in motor insurance disputes. He is familiar with the 2002 Regulations and the Road Traffic Act 1988. He acts for Claimants and Defendants and also has experience acting for the Motor Insurers’ Bureau, having particular experience in dealing with the Uninsured Drivers’ Agreement 2015.
As sole counsel, he has advised in a matter arising out of a home insurer’s alleged failure to appoint appropriate loss adjustors following subsidence. He has also advised and acted as sole counsel in a dispute relating to stolen antique silver goods.
Finn is comfortable acting in matters where there are issues of fraud in the insurance context, specifically where questions of fundamental dishonesty arise. He is familiar with the new ‘Failure to Prevent Fraud’ offence and amendments to the ‘Identification Doctrine’ introduced by the Economic Crime and Transparency Act 2023.
As a pupil, Finn assisted in advising on coverage and avoidance issues arising out of a claim brought in relation to allegations of serious sexual abuse in multiple jurisdictions.
Finn has a particular interest in private international law and is familiar with questions of jurisdiction and applicable law.
As sole counsel, Finn has been instructed in a range of cases on behalf of foreign insurers in English courts.
As a pupil, Finn assisted Charles Dougherty KC and Alistair Mackenzie in Magomedov v TPG [2025] EWHC 59 (Comm), a jurisdiction challenge in respect of a claim pleaded at £13.8bn.
As a pupil, Finn assisted Richard Lord KC and Alistair Mackenzie in Da Silva v Brazil Iron Limited [2025] EWHC 606 (KB), a jurisdiction challenge brought by English defendants in respect of a claim brought by the indigenous Quilombola community in rural Brazil relating to allegations of pollution arising from the operation of an iron mine.
Finn is interested and familiar with legal disputes which have a group element.
Finn is currently instructed as junior counsel on behalf of the Claimants in the Pan-NOx Emissions Group Litigation.
During pupillage, he assisted in advising on matters arising out of the Grenfell Tower Litigation.
Finn regularly deals with personal injury matters in his motor insurance practice. He is well-versed in use of the Ogden Tables and Judicial College Guidelines.
As a pupil, Finn assisted Helen Wolstenholme in settling pleadings and preparing for various Joint Settlement Meetings for both Claimants and Defendants in disputes arising out of serious injuries and death. Many of these cases involved preparing for conferences with expert clinicians.
As a pupil, Finn also assisted in advising on quantum in a Human Rights Act 1998 claim where a breach of Article 2 had been admitted.
Finn is experienced in several areas of employment litigation and prior to coming to the Bar was a research assistant to Sarah Fraser Butlin KC in a project funded by the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
During pupillage, Finn assisted Helen Bell in a five-day trial in London South Employment Tribunal, in which several allegations were made against the UK’s largest education union.
As a pupil, Finn assisted Sam Stevens in several preliminary hearings with wide-ranging allegations, from protected disclosures to harassment and disability discrimination.

Other personal data relevant to, or included in instructions to provide legal services, including data specific to the instructions in question and data included in documents provided to me as part of instructions or otherwise.

By providing such personal information to me, you automatically confirm that you are authorised to do so. It is not reasonably practicable for me to provide the information set out in this Privacy Notice to those individuals. Accordingly, where appropriate, you are responsible for providing this information to any such individuals.

How I store your personal information
Your information is securely stored in Chambers or at my home. I use reasonable technical and organisational security measures such as password protection and encryption of computer generated data and keeping paper data secure to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost or destroyed, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way.
In this connection, Chambers, as data processor, acting on my behalf, will only process your personal data on my instructions and is subject to a duty of confidentiality.
The data will be held in line with any regulatory obligations and generally be kept for 6 years but may be 12 years, or longer where, for example, the case includes information relating to a minor, from the date of completion of instructions. At this point any further retention will be reviewed and the data will be marked for deletion or marked for retention for a further period.
All data will be securely deleted or securely shredded after this time without reference to you. I will store some of your information which I need to carry out conflict checks for the rest of my career. However, this is likely to be limited only to your name and contact details and the name of the case. It will not include any information that is “sensitive information” for GDPR purposes.
