Our combination of practice area excellence and industry expertise means we possess real insight into the commercial realities facing our clients operating in these areas. Secondment plays an important part of our commitment to developing our skills and understanding.

Work with an international dimension forms a significant part of many barristers’ work at 2TG.
We appear in international courts and arbitral tribunals all over the world, frequently acting on complex multi-jurisdictional disputes. We are particularly well-known for managing cross border litigation on matters of jurisdiction and applicable law and appear regularly in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
At 2TG, in addition to our professional advice, we are recognised for our excellent contribution to education and development. We provide regular high-quality training.
Our reputation among the legal profession and other clients for our first-rate webinars and in-person conferences is very important to us. We also contribute frequently at industry events and as editors of leading texts and authors on topics of legal interest.
2TG has a long history of being involved as advocates and umpires in both domestic and international arbitrations.
The scope of our arbitration practice reflects our commercial practice groups and includes arbitral disputes in relation to banking and finance, construction, insurance, professional negligence, property damage and those of a general commercial nature.
We are active in jurisdictions around the world, including throughout South East Asia, the Gulf Region, Europe, the Caribbean and the United States. Our barristers have acted in arbitrations administered by many of the major international arbitral institutions and subject to the major arbitral rules of practice, including HKIAC, ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC, DIAC, ADCCAC and UNCITRAL.
The use of international arbitration as an increasingly popular method of dispute resolution means that our barristers have developed considerable experience in dealing with injunctive relief in support of arbitrations, as well as the complex issues associated with challenging and enforcing arbitral awards in domestic courts.
While members act primarily as Counsel in arbitration, they may also accept appointments to act as arbitrator. Our arbitrators draw on the considerable depth and breadth of their practices. This substantial practical experience results in arbitrators that are commercial, efficient, pragmatic and responsive to clients’ needs and requirements in the arbitral process.
