Many of our barristers combine their commercial expertise with other specialist areas of practice such as disciplinary and regulatory law, professional negligence and insurance law, providing a broad perspective on the increasingly complex disputes arising in the business world. We also specialise in business protection where we draw on our combined experience in the areas of commercial law, employment law and civil fraud when advising businesses on the protection of assets.
We appear frequently in the Business and Property Courts (in particular the Commercial Court, the Technology and Construction Court and the Business List) as well as in Appellate Courts. We also field barristers who have rights of audience in International Courts.
Generally, we are very experienced in dealing with commercial litigation and arbitration across many different jurisdictions. Our barristers act in international arbitration under a wide range of rules and also in relation to disputes in courts arising out of arbitral proceedings. This includes appealing against and enforcing arbitral awards as well as challenging jurisdiction.
We are especially well known for our leading practice in private international law, and are highly sought after to act on conflict of law and jurisdictional issues in relation to cross-border commercial disputes.
Our barristers also offer specialist expertise in relation to commercial disputes arising out of product liability and property damage.
