At 2TG, many members of Chambers act in large-scale and complex international commercial litigation across a range of market sectors, appearing both in the Courts of England and Wales and before courts, tribunals and committees all over the world.
Internationally we are active in Europe, the Gulf region, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean, with our barristers acting in the domestic courts in many different jurisdictions. A number of our barristers are registered as foreign lawyers, or have been called to the Bar, with rights of audience in a number of overseas jurisdictions.
The scope of our international court practice reflects our commercial practice groups and includes disputes in relation to Banking and Finance, Construction, Insurance and Reinsurance, Professional Services, Manufacturing and Products, Property Damage and those of a general commercial nature.
It is not uncommon for our members to be asked to advise as a foreign experts on English Law in relation to commercial court proceedings in international courts. Some of our barristers can operate in foreign languages, including in French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Swedish.
Also related is our specialist expertise in private international law and conflict of laws and we are regularly instructed on jurisdiction, applicable law and related issues including enforcement of judgments in a wide variety of claims including commercial law, product liability, environmental law, human rights and personal injury. We are highly sought after for our advice in this area.
